My work is inspired by my family, faith, and experiences. As a father and leader, I value designs that foster collaboration and empower individuals to achieve their goals. Additionally, I draw inspiration from technology’s capacity to tell compelling stories and solve problems, ensuring every project has purpose and impact.
Who I Am
I bring a unique perspective to solving complex design challenges. My background as an Army medic and law enforcement officer taught me how to lead teams in high-pressure environments, where understanding user needs is critical. Now, as a full-time medical instructor/developer at Fort Dix, I apply these skills to creating user-centered solutions that are both intuitive and effective.
Currently completing my MBS in User Experience Design at Rutgers University, I combine practical experience with a deep understanding of human behavior. My leadership certifications, including the Army Officer Leadership Course (2021), have honed my ability to guide teams and adapt quickly to evolving situations—skills I leverage in UXD to design adaptable, user-friendly solutions.
I thrive on developing designs that are not only functional but also enhance the user experience, especially in healthcare and education. My approach is rooted in simplicity, clarity, and empathy, always focused on improving usability in real-world scenarios.
Design Philosophy
I believe in the transformative power of human-centered design to solve real-world challenges. My approach is deeply rooted in empathy, adaptability, and practicality, shaped by over a decade of leadership in high-stakes environments. I strive to create designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional, sustainable, and aligned with the users' needs, whether in military, medical, or emergency response scenarios. For me, design is a bridge between vision and action—a tool for creating meaningful impact.

What I Do Best
Lead
Drawing from over a decade of military and healthcare experience, I excel at leading teams in high-pressure environments. My leadership certifications from the Army (Basic Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, and Officer Leadership Course) have equipped me with the skills to manage diverse teams, make quick, informed decisions, and foster collaboration to achieve mission-critical objectives. Whether in the field or in the classroom, I lead with empathy, clarity, and a focus on results.

Develop
As a full-time medical instructor, I guide and support the next generation of Air Force personnel. I am passionate about mentorship, helping individuals develop their skills, improve their problem-solving abilities, and build confidence. My goal is to create an environment where learning is not only effective but also engaging and adaptive to individual needs.
Career Goals or Aspirations
I aim to revolutionize the way we approach UX design in critical fields such as healthcare, emergency response, and education. My goal is to lead innovations that combine technological advances with human-centered approaches, creating solutions that are not just functional but transformative. Long-term, I aspire to mentor upcoming designers and establish a legacy of impactful, meaningful design.
My experience as both a medic and UX designer enables me to think creatively in developing solutions for complex, real-world challenges. From designing medical bag concepts for conflict zones to optimizing instructional programs, I bring a user-focused and practical mindset to innovation. I’m driven by the challenge of designing tools and systems that are intuitive and solve real problems in high-stakes environments.
As I complete my MBS in User Experience Design, I continue to refine my ability to develop user-centered designs that enhance functionality and improve the user experience. I have experience in taking concepts from ideation through execution, with a focus on usability and adaptability. My process is rooted in understanding the user’s needs and iterating to create solutions that work seamlessly in practice.
